2003 Domaine Chante Cigale Chateauneuf du Pape

A Proprietary Blend Dry Red Table wine from
Chateauneuf du Pape, Southern Rhone, Rhone, France

  Wine Advocate # 163       Feb 2006 Robert Parker 92 Drink 2006 - 2016

The 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape (aged 50% in foudres, 35% in tank, and 15% in small barrels) shows superb quality with a big, sweet nose of tapenade, ground pepper, kirsch, blackberry, and licorice. The wine has great fruit, full body, tremendous density, and a layered, full-bodied palate with even a hint of truffle emerging. This wine should drink well for up to a decade. Importer: Elite Estates, Braintree, MA.

Currently, we are suspending our wine reviews because of the subjective nature of wine. We have not found a wine critic we completely aggree with and encourage wine lovers to make there own assesments. In the future I will be sharing our picks for your review and will try to give you a general idea of the wine styles we favor so when you read a review, you will have a better understanding of what we like with respect to body, asstringency, acid, flavor profiles and intensity.
